For Katy she's quarantining with her whole family, "It's been tough. Whether we're quarantining by ourselves, but you're probably going extra crazy if you're with your family because it's easy to get on each other's nerves. We all can relate when we say we're going crazy being stuck in our house because of quarantine. They want that empowering, inspiring music and why delay it for year when i'm going to be in a whole other head space next year and i'll probably make a whole different record because of the change that's going to go on in life." People will want to be dancing whether they're dancing at home or in the street or outside in nature. When that happens, i'll go into another type of quarantine and so i've had this music and this body of work for a while and I know the right time is now. I'm going to put the music out because i'm going to have a child and that's one thing that is certain in this time of uncertainty.

For me, it was how to launch a record so it looks like nobody is getting together and there will not be any concerts this year.
