Brian was excellent to deal with and has been readily available if ever i need him. I was more than interested, i needed one! Well, in a matter of weeks i had my custom, fully adjustable and painted to order mark II tactical stock in the mail. He had come across an email i had sent him some time back and asked if i would be interested in what he had to offer. Brian had given up finding his particular style of stock and decided to design and build it himself. Only this man, brian billings, had a plan. Not long ago, however, i received a call from a fellow ruger fanatic who had run into the same issue i did. Well, after many years of searching and more disappointing phone calls than you can imagine i had given up on finding a company that makes or would even try to make a tactical stock for my ruger. I decided i wanted the same pistol grip, tactical style setup for my beloved 300, everything just fell into place as far as cheek weld and comfort for me with this style of rifle. After a couple years i had been shooting my bushmaster varminter and fell in love with the fact that i always hit what i pointed at with this style (ar15) of setup. The action was removed and glass bedded for accuracy and i had a very nice looking muzzle break put on to make the rifle an absolute blast to shoot. I had the trigger rebuilt as most all of you know simply because its a ruger trigger.
I ended up buying the ruger basically because it was a beautiful looking setup with the light colored wooden stock and the beautiful stainless action and barrel.
I had been shopping around and had looked at several remington model 700s, which i had meant to buy, when i came across this absolutely gorgeous ruger mkII m77. I bought my first 300 win mag back in 2001 after my coworker, who had an incredible shooting range built at his home, convinced me it was the new caliber that I needed to have.
